Mr. Chew joined Meketa Investment Group in 2007. A Principal of the firm, Mr. Chew works in the Private Markets Group focusing primarily on natural resources investments and other real asset investments. He is involved with sourcing and screening new investment opportunities, conducting due diligence on commingled funds and co investment opportunities, and constructing and monitoring client portfolios. He has sponsored investments focused on oil & gas exploration and production, metals & mining, farmland, timberland, buyout, and venture capital strategies. Additionally, Mr. Chew has completed strategic reviews and research projects for clients on the opportunities within the timberland, mining, and farmland sectors.
Mr. Chew serves on the limited partner advisory boards of several partnerships including Ridgewood Energy Oil & Gas Fund II, Pacific Road Resources Fund II, Resource Land Fund IV, Teays River Investments, and U.S. Farming Realty Trust II. Prior to joining the firm, he was employed at Wells Fargo Private Bank as an Investment Management Specialist where he helped construct and manage investment portfolios for ultra-high net worth clients. Prior to that, he served as a Credit Analyst for Wells Fargo Private Bank.
Mr. Chew received a BS in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis. He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and has passed Level I of the CFA Program.
