Mr. O’Neill joined Meketa Investment Group in 2008 and has been in the financial services industry for over ten years. A Principal of the firm, Mr. O’Neill serves as consultant on various defined benefit, defined contribution, annuity, and health & welfare funds, with Taft Hartley and corporate plan sponsors. His consulting work includes investment policy design, asset allocation modeling, public and private market investment manager due diligence and fund performance analysis, and asset class education.
Mr. O’Neill is the chair of the firm’s Global Macroeconomic Working Group and is the primary author of the firm’s quarterly Global Macroeconomic Outlook. He also contributes to the writing of other market and economic pieces.
Mr. O’Neill received his undergraduate degree with honors in Psychology and Philosophy from Boston College. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society. Mr. O’Neill also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, and is a member of the CAIA Association®.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. O’Neill was a portfolio officer in the Private Wealth Management division of BNY Mellon. Previously, he was employed as a portfolio analyst at The Rockwater Group and as a financial relationship specialist at Sovereign Bank. Prior to his career in finance, Mr. O’Neill was a tennis pro at several clubs in the Boston area.
