Mr. Colón joined Meketa Investment Group in 2015. A Principal and consultant at the firm, Mr. Colón focuses on investment manager research. His responsibilities include the sourcing, due diligence and analysis of hedge funds and hedge fund of funds. Additionally, Mr. Colón implements alternative investment policies and designs hedge fund programs for clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Colón was employed by Balter Capital Management, a hedge fund of funds and hedge fund consultant. At Balter, he conducted operational due diligence on hedge funds and assisted with the construction of custom hedge fund portfolios. Prior to Balter Capital Management, he was a research associate at Cambridge Associates where he helped develop internal best practices for the Director of Capital Markets Research.
Mr. Colón is currently a Master of Business Administration (MBA) candidate at the Yale School of Management where he is specializing in Asset Management. He has passed Level I of the CFA and CAIA programs. Mr. Colón received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bates College.
