Mr. Latter joined Meketa Investment Group in 2017, and has been in the financial services industry over 25 years. A Principal of the firm, Mr. Latter serves as the consultant on various defined benefit, defined contribution, annuity, and health & welfare funds, with Taft-Hartley and corporate plan sponsors. His consulting work includes investment policy design, asset-liability modeling, public and private market manager due diligence, fund performance analysis, and asset class education.
Mr. Latter received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Manitoba with a concentration in Finance and Actuarial math. Mr. Latter and has earned the FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) and FCIA (Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries) designations.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Latter served in asset management and banking roles. He has published several widely cited research papers on pension investing and was one of four principal authors of the Pension Actuary’s Guide to Financial Economics. In 2009, he won the John Hanson Memorial Prize for his co-authored paper that can be found in The Future of Public Employee Retirement Systems (chapter 3).
